RealtyStore has worked hard on keeping up to date records of properties for sale across the US. It offers a more in depth search function than many foreclosure sites, allowing you to find properties more easily. Whilst it isn’t particularly cheap for a monthly contract, you can use the full set of features for the first month for just $1.
RealtyStore.com’s $1 trial lasts a month, which is very generous indeed. This allows you to try out all the site’s features and view all of the information on any given property. As with many sites which require credit card information to sign up, it’s important to remember that you need to cancel your membership before the end of the trial, otherwise you’ll be booted with a $50 per month bill.
Searching for a home is particularly good on this site. You can search by sale type (pre-foreclosures, short sales, bank ownerships, tax sales, auctions and more), property types (family home, townhouse, multi-family home, commercial, vacant land and, mobile homes and unknown), dimensions and home features, or price. Combining several search parameters can help you to pin down suitable properties. You can also filter out ads without photos or search for hot deals and new homes.
The site requires detailed information on each property. It maintains a checklist of necessary information which each property must file before it can be listed. This means you won’t come across a great looking property which tells you nothing about its area, condition and so on.
If you’re looking for a quick bargain, you may wish to sign up for free alerts. These emails will let you know when particular properties enter the markets, based on your preferences. If you’re fast enough, the site claims you can save between 20% and 50% on a property, which is huge.
Realty Store’s learning center offers a wide range of general and specific information for property buyers. In particular, we felt that the expert articles, written by estate agents and other home buying experts, were an interesting feature. You can find some top advice here which you won’t find elsewhere. You can also check out the various market information, which is kept up to date on the site, allowing you to decide when it’s best to buy and sell.
The site might benefit from a few additional features. A greater range of calculators, 3D digital home viewings, documents on particular laws and a more substantial FAQ would be welcome additions. You can acquire house values by state, but this can feel a little arbitrary at times. A greater presence from estate agents might help with much of this. Given the price tag which comes with using the site, we would expect to see a few extras thrown in as an incentive to keep up with membership payments, as you can perform similar (but not as extensive) searches on cheaper sites.
Realty Store doesn’t really blow our socks off, but it seems to be a decent foreclosure site with plenty of listed properties. If you think you’ll need a lot of additional support then you might wish to look elsewhere, otherwise this website is worth exploring, particularly considering the $1 deal for a month of full membership.
