Foreclosure Deals provide convenient access to details on a large number of foreclosed and pre-foreclosed properties, including Tax liens, REO homes, RHA, HUD and VA properties, all updated daily from a variety of sources and collated for your convenience.

The site itself is nicely laid and pleasant to use. The search criteria and filters here are more flexible than you'll find on the average foreclosures search site and the listings themselves are satisfyingly comprehensive, both in range and detail.

Foreclosure Deals also gives you a bit more than most sites when it comes to extra features, and by features we mean genuinely useful and informative stuff as well as the little gadgets that are just nice to have. These include nopt only the standard foreclosure news and articles, but also mortgage rate information, a blog and a decent FAQ, as well as details of the potentially thorny ways in which state laws vary when it comes to the foreclosures process. Members also get to see neighborhood profiles showing housing statistics, median incomes and employment rates etc as well as information about local schools and population demographic reports before they consider moving there.

A point in Foreclosure Deals' favor is that it isn't content to simply encourage you to use the foreclosure process to make money, it also considers the human, or rather humane, toll the process takes. An appalling number of mortgage defaulters not only abandon their homes but also their pets, leading to crowding of animal shelters in times such as these when more and more people are losing their homes. As is usually the case, the 12 month option represents much better value for money than the monthly option - and indeed than the 7 day trial - and is well worth considering if you anticipate using this service for more than a couple of months.

Whilst there are sites around that are better all-round performers, Foreclosure Deals has much to recommend it and is certainly one of the better options amongst the sites that narrowly missed making it into our top ten.
